May is traditionally the month when the abbreviated rugby game comes to the fore. Dalziel have competed in several tournaments at different age group levels with some degree of success. The senior club won the Kilmarnock Sevens Plate competition, and also competed for the third time in the Warsaw Tens, where they achieved their highest ever placing by reaching the semi-finals. At youth level, Dalziel Dragons (U-15s) won both the Murrayfield Wanderers and Livingston Tens tournaments and finished runners-up in the Stirling County Tens.

Following on from last year's event the club had a fun day plus President's Party on 20th May. The day kicked off with the mini prizegiving in the morning, followed by a players v coaches game. In the afternoon there was a Silly Sevens tournament for over-15's, with separate entertainment for younger club members. Finally the day's entertainment was brought to a close with a karaoke evening in the clubhouse. A large number of adults and children were present throughout the day and a thoroughly good time was had by all. This was only the second time the club has run this event, but it looks like it will now be a regular fixture.
